I just got to US -129(Also known as the Tail of the Dragon)…fully loaded with packs, cutting through to get to Iron Horse Lodge…going through some mild corners…Came up to a corner…not really paying as much attention as I should of…looking at the wide run off…when I noticed I was in a decreasing radius turn…started to push to make the corner…dragged the pegs hard….tail whipped around…bike slid sideways off a 20′ embankment, with me hanging on. This happened so fast that it didn’t even register with me that I had crashed until I was laying on the ground looking up through the trees…I quickly did a check…toes worked…legs worked…arms worked…nothing hurting…climbed out of embankment…Pissed off at myself…

Pay Attention…look through ALL THE TURN
Slow Down…I could of cut the throttle…as I wasn’t anywhere near my traction limit
Don’t get complacent…complacency kills…just as much as speed
Pay attention to the load of your bike…It can change your suspension dramatically.
Fell off a 20 foot embankment…was thrown from the bike when it went over.
No road rash
No broken bones
charlie horse in left shoulder-no bruising(discolor), have full movement, and no weird pains
Bike was upside down.
Bike was Totaled

Gear I was wearing at time of crash.
Exo-1000 Scorpion FF helmet-light scratches on shield. Decommissioned Helmet as not sure if it’s internal integrity was compromised.
MotoBoss Full Gauntlets (Carbon fiber knuckles and palm)-some dirt in gloves.
Alpinestar TX-1 Leather Jacket(armor removed)-scuffed left shoulder and slight scuffs on back.
Alpinestar Bionic 2 Jacket(Armor Jacket)-No Damage-probably kept me from separating shoulder or breaking any bones.
Triumph Tornado Racing Textile Pants-Damage on Left puck. Left the Puck for the Tree of Shame…some seams busted around the leg…but wouldn’t have caused any problems because was tucked into boot.
AXO Primato II Boots slight scuff on upper part of left boot.
High Viz jacket…held together but has cuts on reflective fabric
I had an ADD moment…getting caught up on checking out the run off instead of looking through the turn…I remember my thought process as I was going through the turn…’Wow…cool corner…nice run off(as my eyes and brain are not focusing on the turn) …(Now my eyes return to the corner)tighten your turn…s**t I crashed…’
